In 1977, we founded Oriental Shoe-making Company for manufacturing women’s shoes at Nagata district, Kobe city.
In 1999, we created the original factory brand “KAGURA” and selling our products at domestic and overseas department stores, also at select shops.
In 2015, we moved our factory to Awaji Island, Hyogo Pref.(Yume-butai Sustainable Park) where we think more sustainable and natural environment in order to being able to take over our technical procedures to the next generations.

Our understanding about shoes is to be protective your feet and supportive for your walking. This concept has never been changed since this company was established.
We would like to contribute more healthy life to all the women around the world by offering the healthy foot life, which fulfills the latest fashion demand and well-organized functions.

There are about 20 parts to make a pair of shoes and it is said that there are more than 100 procedures to lead them to the perfect shapes.
In our company, we manufacture each part of shoes in different places in Japan or other countries where we think it’s the most suitable place for its design.
And we assemble all the parts and conduct the final inspection in our factory in Japan which make our shoes “Made In Japan” for offering them to the customers with the highest quality.

“Shoe Last”
The fit of a shoe depends on the design, function of the Shoe Last.
After correcting the shape by 0.1millimeter of unit several times, we complete them for our original shoe lasts.
These shoe lasts make us possible to make better fitting and functional shoes.
“Take a lot of time to make shoes”
It is very important to take a lot of time to make shoes. Each natural leather has a unique elasticity so that we need skilled craftsmen who can handle it very carefully.
Also it is very important for the shoes to lay down for couple of days for memorizing the shape of the leather sterically.
By taking a lot of time to make shoes, they are going to be better fitting for the customers’ feet and also to be used and loved by them for a long time.
